The Tree Folk, headed by Senior Hoff Dazzle-Razzle Magoogoo, are a political organization dedicated to reason and civic mindedness. Centrists, they rarely endorse candidates and instead hold rallies, publish think-tank papers, disseminate literature and push petitions to achieve common sense political change. But recently, a new player has joined the Tree Folk.

Double Junior Hoff Ricko No-Wicko has only been a member of the Tree Folk for six weeks but he is already making huge waves. He has clashed publicly with Senior Hoff Dazzle-Razzle Magoogooo over the organization’s tactics. No-Wicko has proposed full endorsements of candidates and per-candidate fundraising. This direct role would be unprecedented for the Tree Folk. But No-Wicko is a sly operator and inspiring speaker. He has already won over roughly one third of the Tree Folk. Some issue demands for Magoogoo to call a snap election, in which No-Wicko could potentially become Senior Hoff.

The Tree folk are at a crossroads. The organization may not survive in its current state. The Times will document this history as it unfolds.
