We Ought To Learn From And Care For The Birds of Ravenwold
We Cannot Kill Them
I’ve been thinking of the cockfighting creatures, perhaps roosters, perhaps something otherworldly, which saturate the news. Curious souls. They’ve been victim of an atrocity. They’ve backlashed against society as a result.
These creatures were not born killers. They certainly were bred to be, though. Consequentially, many people are skeptical whether they could possibly unlearn what was so forcefully ingrained into them. Going further, many wonder if rehabilitation holds any hope of changing the fate of the creatures. Some say they will end up on dinner plates eventually regardless. It is a matter of time.
I’m here to suggest that absolutely we should care, absolutely these creatures can be rehabilitated, and absolutely we should do what we can. The Ravenwold roosters are strange abnormalities in our townships. They have sharp teeth, claw, and fierce instincts. But do they deserve death? No! They are victims, aggressors only by reflex to aggression against them. We can help them, and we can learn from them.
I’ve lived in places far and wide during my lifetime… From the North to the South to planet Nebulönis… And, everywhere I’ve been, I’ve lived with open eyes and an open mind. I have lived also with open ears, because I am of the opinion that every place in the world, and every creature in the world, has something good inside. I believe that no matter how strange or foreign a person or an otherworldly creature might seem at first glance, that person or creature is deserving of respect and understanding, and that person or creature has a perspective worth hearing.
I vehemently oppose the euthanization of the Ravenwold roosters. And to Tom Johnson: I challenge you to quit eating meat, for two weeks, before following through with the so called “euthanization plan”. Perhaps your views will change once without the conflict of interest that is your meat intake.
