Mechanical Man Spotted in Boston

Note from the editors: it seems a mechanical man similar to our hero, The Mechanical Fellow, has appeared in Boston.

As seen in Surreal Times Boston --

I saw something odd in the parking lot of the Super 88 on Comm ave yesterday. A tall, thin man in a tight suit. He wore fingerless gloves and black combat boots poked out from under his pants. But that isn’t the weird part. He didn’t have a head. Where his eyes, nose, and face should be was a fifteen inch computer screen, completely blank.

I could discern no emotion in this man. He did not move robotically, but he did move efficiently. He was speaking to a group of people and what appeared to be a bird. The bird must have been a parrot, a yellow parrot, because it was mimicking human speech. I didn’t watch for too long. Something about this mechanical man - the way he took no excess actions, the way his hands stayed by his side the entire time - it gave me the heebie jeebies. I went into the supermarket and bought some mochi. I hope that this strange thing leaves. No good can come of him.
