Town Must Do Better

See, I’ve dedicated a large portion of my life to ensuring the town of Amherst stays safe. I’ve put blood, sweat, and tears into this cause. I’ve trained day in and day out, even during long stretches of years with no ice in sight, just to be sure I would be prepared for even the slightest of heat draughts were they to occur. I’ve been so careful to manage my own personal responsibilities, my specialties.

That's why I’m so upset that this cockfighting shitshow hasn’t been handled properly. It is so upsetting to see others perform their jobs half-heartedly when I pour so much into mine. In my opinion, people should take pride in their work, like I do in mine. They should do their work to a level of quality worthy of being proud of. At the very least, a person should handle their responsibilities properly. A person should do what is expected of them, do it well, and clean up loose ends, not cutting corners.

The police, the veterinarians, and the town council ought to have higher standards than they do. But their shortsightedness, sluggishness, and lack of professionalism, have put people of Amherst at inconvenience, at risk, and in some cases in danger or detriment.
